Gasket Choice:
Early D1105 engines were generally fitted with graphite head gaskets, while later engines used metal head gaskets. If there is any doubt regarding the flatness or condition of the cylinder block or cylinder head gasket face, the graphite gasket is recommended as it offers greater tolerance for minor surface imperfections.
